Using low dose heparin for prevention of sickle cell
I just had a physician ask me about using low dose heparin for a patient to prevent their sickle cell crisis from being so frequent. We have talked about hydroxyurea for this but not low dose heparin. Has anyone heard of this and if so could you elaborate?

Method for treating sickle cell disease and sickle cell disease sequalae invention If heparin helps improve quality of life, then go with that. The above link mentions that the effect unfortunately does not occur with low molecular weight heparins!
