Amgen announces results of study

Amgen study results released January 29, 2007 reflect higher mortality rates in use of Aranesp(R) in cancer patients with anemia not caused by chemotherapy.

Aranesp is FDA-approved for treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure and for
treatment of chemotherapy-related anemia in patients with nonmyeloid malignancies.

Amgen stresses need for caution in using this product according to the approved product labeling.

My insurance won't cover any EPO drugs and I am needing the Albumin-Free Aranesp at an affordable price. Any I've seen starts at $1,000. Are there any good resources for this drug?
