Way back in 1952, I gave birth to twins when they were 4 months old they came down with whooping cough, at this time we learned that one of them had a heart problem, there was no such thing as open heart surgery but medical science was working on it, the doctor assured me that our little girl would live to be at least a teenager. She progressed well till she reached 11 years of age when she started losing weight so we knew we had to do something, our doctor wanted us to take her to City of Hope in San Dimas, CA but I had heard reports that they had taken children away from parents over the blood issue, so that wasn't an option. At this time we didn't have the help we do today such as this site, HIS etc. But through prayer and talking with friends I let my needs be known, in no time we we put in contact with Dr Cooley in Houston, Texas and he was willing to operate on her, the first child he operated on without blood. Within one week after the surgery we were on our way home, today she is an active publisher, raised 3 children and a joy to us. But everytime I get something from you my heart just swells thinking of all this help our dear brothers have today. Thanks for keeping me on the list.
