Blood clotting protein linked to rheumatoid arthritis

Researchers at Cincinnati Children’s have issued the first study showing that a protein normally involved in blood clotting (fibrin), also plays an important role in the inflammatory response and development of rheumatoid arthritis.

Too Much Protein in the Diet

I would have to agree with this study since Rheumetoid arthritis is classifed as an autoimmune diesease attacking the joints. It is caused by several factors including lack of water intake, deficiencies of minerals and other nutrients and more importantly microbes and toxins! Diets too high in animal protein and milk give rise to microbial numbers in the body. According to Robert O. Young, PhD, DSc, meat contains an average of 300,000 to 3 million microorganisms per gram. Cheese 300,000 to 1 million and milk 20,000. Compared to clean plant food at 10 microbes per gram.
This also lower blood pH to unacceptable levels and starts the chain of events that leads to inflammation.
Essential oils & Liquid zeolite have been shown to remove toxins and help restore body pH. I have more information on my web site if ones would like to know more. Water & Salt Consulting - Home

Toxins in blood

"In my opinion, based on the evidence, every singly chronic insidious disease process is related to one word - toxicity. You can not address the issues of aging unless you address detoxification." Rashid O. Butler, D.O. Of course, this would include Rheumatoid arthritis. I suggest ones go to their doctor to get a correct diagnosis as it could be something else. It is a painful condition of the joints marked by selling, thickening, and inflammation of the synovial membrane lining the joint. Osteoarthritis is caused by a breakdown of the joint cartilage without any swelling or inflammation. Helping the body to remove the burden of toxicity can only help!
In cases where the arthritis is caused by infectious organisms, such as Lyme Disease and Salmonella, essential oils may counteract and prevent infection.
The big key with this condition is inflammation. “By my estimate, approximately half of all Americans suffer from an inflammatory disorder, and even more are at risk” Floyd H. Chilton Ph. D. To say that toxins alone are the reason for this condition would probably be simplistic. Inflammation is also caused by our diets that are too rich in omega-6 oils in relation to omega-3 oils (meat and dairy over consumption being some of the reasons for this imbalance). This helps to highlight the importance of getting good antioxidant help as well. New research is showing how Olive Leaf extract may be one of the most potent antioxidants registered on the ORAC scale.
I hope ones will still continue to show confidence in sharing with their doctors what they are learning and not try to treat themselves alone. The balance is still, as an individual having such a painful condition, that you as the patient has the final right to choose your medical / nutritional treatments, just as we do with choosing to have NO Blood! Has anyone used Amicar (contributes fibrin) to help stop nose bleeds? It seems to help reduce the extent of the nosebleeds for my husband. All the best, bety

3/7/2008: Hi Water and Salt: There are so many reasons for some diseases and conditions developing. Your explanations are the basic clinical descriptions of what physiological causes might contribute to the rheumatoid arthritis and what natural or medical treatments may or may not support a healing. I am interested more in finding out whether anyone knows of a connection between copper mining and any type of arthritis or working with metals, building
or use of electrical metal tools possibly being a cause. Also, whether genetic damage can happen. Everyone has heard about "Black Lung" being a result of coal mining, but I haven't heard about anything being connected to any type of metal mining. Thanks for the input. I have studied alot in the past about cleansing, etc., I appreciate your review of that. 21stCentury.

3/7/2008: To JGrossberg: Thanks for your post about the fibrin. I began thinking about some medications taken by my mother during her life before her rheumatoid arthritis became severe and guess what? She was given coumadin, (medication for hypertension that thins the
blood) for a period that exceeded safe. I don't know if she ever was able to bring forth a cause of action, but I'm sure she could have. She was given that for months and months, off and on-it isn't supposed to be prescribed for great lengths of time. It's possible that the
overuse of the medication compromised her natural production of fibrin. She was always covered with bruises and bled at the drop of a hat. She also developed a fast-paced rheumatoid arthritis-she said she could feel her bones bending at times-so much pain to endure. She was talked into an injectible gold treatment, etc., by the time she died (from heart failure complications), she had so many forms of arthritis it was unreal. Too bad there wasn't any Oxycyte in the mid-80's, she could have benefitted from it, I'm sure. Thanks for the info! 21st
Century end comment. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

cooper toxicity

A quick internet search revealed more information than needed to see how cooper exposure from everyday life thru the air, water, foods, medicines, and occupational exposures can cause toxicity. Arthritis is just one of the results from chronic exposure!
Your question has given me fresh reasons to take Liquid Zeolite everyday. It is in my opinion the most effective remover of heavy metals from the body. Chelation also removes calcium and magnesium and other essential minerals in the process.
The last reference also highlights the need to have a diet high in trace minerals and so sea salt and Himalayan crystal salt are essential. Also mentioned for mercury and copper that sulfur was important. The most effective product for that is a supplement called Sulfurzyme. Having a water purifier is also important.
As for copper mining I am sure if you do a deeper search than what I just did it will reveal a connection. It would have to be airborne more in those areas. Any electrical hand tool would also due to wiring highten exposure as well.
Hope this helps and if the links don’t work I have saved this info. Email me for them if you want.
Thanks
Stan

3/7/2008: It is nice to see that much of these articles and books were written during a time that our home computer was not functioning and my daughter and I were having health problems. Figures. Hmm, did you see anywhere specifically that any of your info contains a reference to copper Mining? I haven't yet. I'm not being facetious, I just think that it is a notable omission since there are tens of thousands of they and their families that have suffered all kinds of illnesses that most likely link back to copper poisoning. I will enjoy these articles, they are comprehensive and some have a bibliography. Thanks again. Did you go through the info that told the necessity of preparing and getting results from hair samples for the cleansing of metals? If you don't do that, all the cleansing you do isn't able to be documented and can't help us to understand what is actually taking place in the cleanse. A person could possibly, after going through cleansing or taking the supplement you have been telling me will cleanse the copper out, end up not having enough left in their system to prove they ever had a toxicity! Have you ever considered that consequence? For someone who has gone through generations of seeing their parents suffer illness and death, and going through pain ourselves, that would be frustrating and not worth it. It is difficult going to physicians that would rather call a person nuts than admit that "jobs for Americans" caused groups of families health hazards they may have to suffer for a very long time. Well, this is a beginning of alot of info to cover. Have a great week-end everyone! 21st Century. end message.////////////////////////////

Hi there,

There is probably no specific study regarding what you want.

First, consider this study.

[Copper content in rheumatoid arthritis patients] [Ann Acad Med Stetin. 2005] - PubMed Result

The study pointed to a significant increase of the concentration of copper in RA patients (19.1) in comparison with control group (14.2).
The level of hair copper was also significantly increased (14.3) in comparison with healthy subjects (10.4) and considerably lower in erythrocytes (RA patients - 67.6, control group--84.2)

There was also a study on non nonacute exposure to osmium, a byproduct of copper refining. The conclusion: Workers exposed to osmium tetroxide vapors (refiners and histologists) and rheumatoid arthritis patients who have received intra-articular injections of osmic acid solutions have shown no apparent damage from exposure to low levels of osmium.

This points to a second problem. There are so many other chemicals that could have a relationship to the problem, it would be hard to distinguish.

There is another side to this.

What if you looked at how you could detoxify your body? Regardless of what toxins, the detoxification process should help.

This involves several different aspects of health management.

1) avoiding toxins
2) avoiding taking toxins in
3) detoxifying the already toxic body
4) boosting resistance to toxins

The body has a defense system for this. It is called glutathione. Boost your glutathione and you detoxify and protect. Actually glutathione does about 27 main functions. It is the cure (so to speak) for Tylenol poisoning. Actually, you cannot take and absorb glutathione in the gut (you can in the lungs). So you have to boost it by taking the building blocks. NAC is the drug of choice. There are natural products and even dietary considerations that can help.

Hope this gives you something to help with your concern.
