Awareness related to the safety, effectiveness, and cost of blood is growing nationwide. Many facilities are actively looking for ways to address and treat their patients' health status before it turns into an unnecessary transfusion. Hospitals are building Blood Management Programs that embrace patient blood management (PBM) to ensure better care for everyone, regardless of their acceptance of blood products.
