Heart surgery without blood transfusion

COIMBATORE: A Three year old boy from Dindigul underwent a crucial open heart surgery without blood transfusion at a private hospital here.A team of doctors led by Dr P Chandrasekar, consultant cardio-thoracic surgeon, and Dr M Kalyanasundaram, pediatric cardiologist of G Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH), performed the four-hour surgery on Asaph, who was suffering from cyanotic congenital heart disease, last Thursday.

I am really impressed, But i have not heard any thing like this before.It is really a great achievement in the medical history.Great to hear this.
