Recently a few members of the Las Vegas Valley Hospital Liaison Committee met with the Hemobag people to learn about this product. We were quite impressed with the ability of the Hemobag . It can reinfuse Autologous Whole Blood in a concentrated way. Much different than Cell Salvage which destroys everything but the RBC's.

The whole blood can be reinfused (including Platelets, Fibrinogen, Albumin etc) through a continuous uninterupted circuit suitable for some of Jehovah's Witnesses. Saving the proteins has already helped patients. Shorter Hospital stay faster recovery.

We do not commercially endorse any product, however we are eager to see products that not only add to the options of alternative treatment but truly help the patient recover.

Jim,

I agree with Hemobag. I believe it is a great product waiting to be utilized more fully.

Continued Success!

We are realizing continued success here in the Northwest with the use of the Hemobag. It has become our local, ethical, standard of care. We conserve significant autologous whole blood volumes. (on average over 800-1100ml) We have avoided many unnecessary transfusions. It now has aided us in the successful treatment of over 450 C-V Surgurical patients.

Hemobag continued...

Mr. Wade

Our surgical program here in the Northwest is in Salem, Oregon. Our region is leading the country with this "multipass hemoconcentrated," whole blood salvage technique. We have hosted many healthcare professionals throughout the country observe the Hemobag use here at our program. It has served our patients well in helping to avoid unnecessary transfusions, and has literally changed our practice, and transfusion triggers. Please feel free to contact me or to arrange a visit to Salem Hospital, we would welcome your visit. Scott 503.561.5356

Jan,

I will be making a trip to the Northwest in the first week of August to Swedish Medical Center and a few other hospitals in the WA and OR area. Perhaps this would be a good time for us to catch up while in your state. Please let me know by emailing me here: gbrllc@comcast.net

Thanks,
