Larry Eitel - Costa Rica
Greetings! I am thrilled at the prospect of seeing NoBlood become an open forum where advocates of bloodless alternatives can exchange vital information.
I got involved in the bloodless field in April 1996 when I first registered the NoBlood.com domain name. Shortly thereafter, a group of us set out to create a directory of resources relating to bloodless medicine and surgery. In October of 1999, we decided to suspend further development for a variety of reasons. Since then Jan Wade has maintained a simple static page containing a few useful links and articles. I turned my attention to other projects including a development project in Costa Rica. Toward the end of 2002, Jan reminded me that NoBlood was still "on the air". He further informed me that NoBlood was NUMBER ONE on some of the major search engines! At that point we began exploring how best to "kick-start" NoBlood. In January of 2003, we began assembling a group of people willing and able to help revitalize the site. In March we began developing this platform that will allow us to collaborate with individuals from around the world.
I have a working knowledge of the software industry having written and published software and founded a publishing company now known as Advisor Media. I believe and hope that many others from around the world will support the development of NoBlood as a platform for sharing lifesaving alternatives to blood transfusions.
