Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is on the rise, due to the growing problems with obesity, xenoestrogens, and the stress / pace of life.

Synthetic progesterone may be okay for short term. Bio-identical, available in the US without a prescription as a topical cream, would be a better long-term choice to prevent recurrence.

Is anemia the sole cause of your fatigue and SOB? Not necessarily, but it certainly needs to be addressed. They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Call the doctor back and ask about a dose of IV iron. Brand names include Jectofer, Ferrlecit, or INFeD. That would give a big jumpstart to your recovery. There is some modest risk.
