Just wanted to say hello to all existung members of this site. Have only just joined and am still finding my way around, but so far it looks as though I will be back many times. I serve as a member of an HLC in Belfast and we are finding that several of the main hospitals in Belfast are becoming very co-operative as regards alternatives to blood. Will give more details again. Thanks to the folks who run this site and greetings to all.

Jan, Thanks for the link to Jeff Jackman. I knew him to see when he was in Ireland but not personally. I do know Arthur very well of course as he is in charge of H.I.S. Ireland Branch. Actually you were very helpful to us several years ago when we had a high profile court case in Belfast involving a 15 year old female who needed a kidney transplant. You referred me to a Bloodless Centre in USA who were most helpful. The outcome of the case was that we lost the case but the operation was carried out without blood products. Anyhow thanks for your help at the time. I am delighted to see NoBlood again. Am leaving for Seville in Spain in 3 hours time (International JW Convention) but will be keen to re-visit the site on my return.
