Talking New to NoBlood

Hello,
My name is Aaron.
I found this forum by accident while doing some research for a question and answer part regarding blood transfusions and Jehovah's Witnesses at my Kingdom Hall tonight. I am excited to have found this forum because of the wealth of information I can glean to share with patients who may have questions about blood transfusion alternatives and help educate my fellow healthcare workers.

I work where I am faced with drawing/processing blood for the purpose of transfusions and had some patients ask about alternatives...non-Witness patients. This is an excellent clearing house of valuable information regarding blood and alternatives for both religious and non-religious reasons.

I hope to be able to share in some way to this effort in the near future.

Thanks for looking,
Aaron

Welcome!

Hello, Aaron:

Welcome to the site! It's a terrific place to learn. And as you said, perhaps you can be further involved...it takes a lot of volunteers, even doing small things, to make the site successful. And your posts and comments will be important as well.

I, too, found the site by accident when doing some research a couple years ago...and I've really learned a lot since then. Things that have helped me but also others around me who do not have access to the internet and have so many questions.

And even though I don't do a lot, I've really enjoyed getting involved in a small way as a volunteer. The ones who do most of the work need support and assistance in many ways, and thankfully I've been able to help out somewhat. So keep that in mind...many hands are needed in any not-for-profit venture. As well as every little bit of financial support....there are numerous places on the site that take you to a donation page where anyone can contribute any time of the day or night. All donations are used wisely in keeping the site going.

Again, welcome to NoBlood.org...it's great to have you as a new member. If you have any questions, be sure to ask!

Hi bro, nice to meet you here!

I am a person who will require a heart surgery in the future, and my condition as a witness, it's important for me to get as much information as possible to help my self and my doctors, to look for very good alternatives to avoid blood. They already helped me three years ago, on a microsurgery. I'm sure the bloodless heart surgeries will be available to all the patients with no problems in a close future. Jehovah always provides knowledge for our benefit.
