TREATING MINOR PATIENTS

Parents make all nature of decisions for the welfare and advancement of their minor children. In matters of diet, grooming, recreation, education, and so forth, parents are constantly making decisions, choice, and sacrifices for the sake of their children's healthy growth and development. Our society, our culture, and therefore our law expects parents to act as their children's natural guardians and protects them in carrying out their parental responsibilities. The United States Constitution "protects the fundamental right of parents to make decisions concerning the care, custody, and control of their children." ¹
