Yearly salary 100 grand?

I am considering a job change, and a nurse friend suggested looking into becoming a blood transfusionist. She said they make 100 thousand a year, and only need a high-school diploma. I can't believe this is true. Can someone fill me in? Thanks for your help - oh, and if it is true, how do I get the position!

However Sean, your friend may have meant perfusionist. They do make good money but there is more education involved. Most importantly the future of medicine is alternatives to transfusions. Investigate this area.
