Coagulation

Formation of a clot; the normal process of bleeding control in the body.

Coalgulation describes the global process of clot formation. When bleeing occurs, there is a need for such to be stopped. This is done through the various clotting factors which are bilogical proteins made in the body. Such coagulation also involves the use of platelets.

Coagulation can be enhanced with the use of many pharmacological agents as well as medical devices. Please see the products guide for listings of these agents.
