Biaxin

Biaxin is a prescription medicine widely used to treat infections in many different parts of the body. It works by preventing the reproduction and growth of problem bacteria. This medicine, however, will not work for the flu, colds or other virus infections. You should not take Biaxin if you are allergic to clarithromycin (kla-RITH-roe-my-e-sin) or erythromycin (e-RITH-roe-my-e-sin).
