Transcutaneous oxygen monitoring

A technique employing several different devices which are able to read body oxygen levels through the skin without requiring blood withdrawal. These are most valuable in cases where oxygen levels need to be monitored, (e.g. respiratory distress), and where blood removal must be severely curtailed due to the patient's having only a small amount of blood (e.g. newborns, severe anemia).
