Endoscope

A tube-like device that can allow physicians to view the internal structures of the digestive tract without surgery. Some can perform limited surgical procedures. Its greatest use involves quickly finding and controlling internal bleeding in the stomach and intestines, a common kind of bleeding managed by emergency room staff.
