Thread: Plasmapheresis

In what setting would plasmapheresis be used.

We have seen plasmapheresis used both on inpatients and as outpatients at our facility. The Red Cross actually comes in and performs this service for us, usually on patients with TTP. It is often performed daily at first, and then every other day until the situation resolves.
