In Ontario, Canada the Ontario Health Insurance Plan may not cover the cost of Eprex. The company has a drug benefit replacement plan which will cover the cost of the drug if their criteria is met. I'm not sure what the situation is elsewhere, but I do know that this plan has been a benefit here.

Sister Clubley, it was fantastic reading your experience. I know you would be doing well but it was good to hear that you also had a son after your blood loss experience.
I too had a very severe blood loss due to an ectopic pregnancy rupture. I went down to 1.7d/l and very thankful I'm here today, but I took my faith into my heart and didn't think another think of it @ the time just the promise of a resurrection! It was quite an experience and glad to be here to tell the tale, I too am planning for another child and been told it might be dangerous because of the severe blood loss. That was over a year ago and I'm fine now. I was out of hospital in 2 weeks, slept alot but who doesn't need sleep! Again thank you for your experience, it's encouraging to hear from others in the same predicament just different circumstances. Great site too! Paula
