Why don't more no-blood practitioners accept state insurance?
I don't know how much has changed since 2000, but I know in the 1990's, (and worse occurrences prior), there were incidents where even though a person had refused blood herself, and, had a mate that told hospital staff the patient didn't want blood, the hospital found the patient's parents, who accepted blood for her! That was one of the most blatant incidents I had ever heard of, how is it now? All it takes is a court order-even if the patient is a baby. You are talking about an emergency-I'm not too sure all hospitals would let a relative (who didn't have a LEGAL pre-authorization) make that type of a life or death decision, due to the possibility of a suit-even though one relative may support, the entire family might not-the hospital could find themselves liable-we live in America. Make all your plans prior to anything like that happening if you are serious about trying to get no-blood help. My problem has been trying to find no-blood practitioners to take state insurance-can anyone help? What good is no-blood "help" if all the practitioners don't accept our insurance? You can email if you want. I'm not sure if I have to post it or not.
