Emergency Contact Info - Medical Jewelry

Please provide suggestions regarding engraving emergency contact information on medical jewelry.

Since a person may be alone and separated from their Medical Directive paperwork in a medical emergency, what is the best way to ensure that an emergency contact is available? Is there a reliable company than can be called to provide medical information on your behalf?

What is your experience in this case; ensuring an available emergency contact?
