Closed Loop Cell Salvage
For many years Jehovah's Witness patients would not accept cell salvage or other procedures where their blood was directed outside their bodies then returned unless the procedure was done in a "closed loop" or "closed circuit" where the equipment was constantly connected to the patients circulatory system and thus could be viewed as an extension of their own system.
Question - Is the closed loop still necessary when treating Jehovah's Witness patients?
