What kind of lawyer can we get to help us with insurance providers. Also, does a hospital have the right to tell you if a patient with myeloma has a directive that all measures should be used to sustain their life; can the hospital keep influencing the insurance company to not provide coverage in order to force the patient to have to choose to give up. Cape insurance provided ventilators that were given to take patient home because of weakened state due to screw ups at hospital that caused major complications. However they did agree at this point to have home stay , ventilator and backup ventilator and trained 2 people who would care for the patient and supplied with the necessary equipment and medicines. When patient was rushed to hospital just recently...and this hospital only responsibility at that time was to treat this patient and release her back to family ...they decided they would get cape to force the death option...and are blocking every avenue to take patient back home.
Can a hospital take a patient's choice away if they choose to live and there is no grounds that they can say verifies there actions to keep persuading doctors not to treat? What help or legal lawyer in what field can we go to for help? Is there lawyers that handle medical insurance and medical matters like this when the hospital tries to pull a plug on a patient that chooses to be sustanined? Can you please answer as soon as possible.
