In search of Ron Lapin
Can anyone tell me what ever became of or happened to Dr. Ron Lapin, whom the book, "No Man's Blood" was about?
I would sure appreciate some feed-back on that. |

What happened to Dr. Ron Lapin
Dr. Ron Lapin died on May 17th, 1995 of an apparent heart attack at the hospital that he was working in. The obituary is posted in the L.A. Times for the year 1995. I just finished re-reading No Man's Blood. Very interesting.

Ron Lapin
Hello,
I met Ron in 1981 we had a relation for several years. He was doing resurch in Rotterdam and working on his Phd. Every mont he was at my place for 1 week and we were travelling up and down to Rotterdam. Last time we met was on Aruba in May 1995, he came there to see me,I'll spare you the details, but I'm not surprised he died shortly after we've been together. Wat was the cause of his death? Kind regards from Holland. Inge |

Dr. Lapin
I met Dr. Lapin in Fountain Valley Medical Center, where my wife was about to give birth.
I had just survived a really bad motorcycle accident (yeah, I know...no more bikes!), and he had dropped in to see me a few times while I recovered from that. He made sure that my wife got a birthing suite at the hospital and the whole experience was very good. The food was excellent as was the champagne. He was kind, although very business-like. I could tell that he had a real interest in his patients and even though we were not on his patient list at the moment, his presence was certainly appreciated. He had a really good rapport with my Ortho-specialist, Dr. Xavier Hallorin, who put me back together after my accident. My surgery required a lot of blood, and when I refused in the ER, Dr. Hallorin took over for the triage doctor. Sadly, now both doctors have passed away. I know Jehovah holds as special those who help his witnesses...and perhaps if I make it into the new system, I'll get to see them again too. I cannot tell people how appreciative I was for his and Dr. Lapin's policies at that hospital...it was all the more so as I was not even baptized at that time, but I knew the rules. They both stood by my decision. |
