Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

It appears to me that there might me some knowledgable Jehovah's Witnesses posting here.

I hope this question is not out of line on this board.

Could anyone explain exactly how it is determined what parts and procedures involving blood are allowed? How is it determined where the line is drawn?

I would greatly appreciate any information provided.

Thanks,
