Chlorophyll instead of blood

Tim: Thanks for the info. I think the Guiness is not a bad idea, either. Beer has some pretty interesting nutrients, water, and relaxes the drinker (if not taken in excess, of course). Appreciate this thread. I wonder if chlorophyll would be useful in persons with pernicious anemia...now you've got me really curious!

Reactions or side effects?

Does anyone know of any bad reactions that chorophyl has had with antibiotics or diarectics? Or any side effects?

Adult Stem Cells to Reconstitute the blood

Hi,
I am a new member and appreciate this site and what it is doing in giving very supportive informaiton for those choosing a non-blood manament of theri health care!
I would like to direct ones attention to an article written by Christian Drapeau the developer of a natural botanical extract the has been cliniacally proven and patented to increase the circulaating stem cells by as much as 30%. A short video and viewing of the patent can be found at Stem Tech Players .
Brief exerpt of the article "As early as 2001 scientists published a series of sceintific articles that suggested strongly that the release and migration phenomenon was natural (of stem cells). One of the early studies reported was performed by Dr. Diane Krauss and her research team. Dr. Krauss wanted to answer this question: "Can one single stem cell reconstitue the entire blood system?" - the article explains how she did this and the conclusion was- "Could a single stem cell keep alive mice whose blood cells had been damaged by radiation? The scientist were soon to discover: After a few weeks, the entire blood system of the test mice was back, demonstrating that only one stem cell was sufficient to reconstitue the blood system!"
In my unprofessional opinion I believe this natural extract deserves attention the same as does other natural methods of restoring health the the body systems. I can either emial of send thru the mail other supporting documents that you can review upon request. My thinking is that it can only enhance what your bloodless medical teams are trying to do- 1) avoid blood products 2) enhance the immune system 3) provide support to natural healing by introducing healthy stem cells from the patients own bone marrow.
It is my hope that some will look into this further from a medical standpoint in support patient health. I wish it was marketed differntly and for that reason have held back from posting till now.
Thanks

Chlorophyll

Fast Freddie:

I think you may be referring to hexachlorophene (brand name PhiSoHex), which was widely used as an antibacterial soap both in home, commerical and medical applications before it was revealed to have possible links to cancer development with regular use. My mother used to brush her teeth with the stuff, and we had it all over the house. I don't know if it is chemically related to chlorophyll in any way, as the "chloro" could very well be from "chlorine" or some derivative thereof.

Chlorophyll is naturally occurring in all green plants, and many red and yellow plants. You get plenty of it if you eat parsely, cilantro, fresh grasses like wheat grass, alfalfa, and maybe bitter greens like beet greens, collards, chard and certain other leafy salad greens. I have not found anything to indicate it is toxic in large amounts, although no claim of food toxicity appears to be impossible to "prove" in these days when too much fat, caffeine, sugar, salt, fungi, milk, wheat, nuts, soy, red meat, pork, eggs, acidic foods, carrots, non-organically-grown anything, etc. can be bad for you (according to somebody). Moderation is still often best when ingesting most substances, yet at times there are beneficial exceptions. I hope chlorophyll plays out to be one of the latter.

Thumbs up An experience with Chlorophyl

I never heard of Chlorophyl until recently when a patient came to the hospital with an acute GI Bleed. On the days prior to arriving to the hospital the patient had some blood work CBC which showed his HB as 4.4. The doctor instructed the pt to go to the ER for a transfusion. The patient refused and on his own purchased liquid Chlorophyl and liquid Iron. 3 days later he went to a different doctor and his HB reading was 6.8.......Just thought I share this interesting experience.

Chlorophyl instead of blood

Thanks for posting your experience. I have had this experience with two family members and when my daughter was pregnant, her doctor was surprised that her HCT did not go down as it usually does in pregnancy. She said it was because of the chlorophyl, although she was not using the liquid but rather a product with the "greens" in it like wheat grass, barley grass and some others. It is my opinion that we all should take in a green drink daily, especially because most of us do not get enough veggies anyway. One should be careful with iron, of course, only using it when necessary as it can accumulate in body organs.
Kathy
