Bloodless means medical or surgical treatment without the use of banked (stored) allogenic blood or primary blood components. Throughout the years organizations providing 'bloodless' healthcare have coined a number of terms and expressions to identify this gold-standard of healthcare, such as:

• Blood Management
• Blood Conservation
• Transfusion Free

For the sake of simplicity, we may also use the term bloodless to describe this gold-standard of healthcare.
