Blood: An Epic History of Medicine and Commerce

Didn't see it listed so I thought I would throw this in the mix. Read it while researching a term paper on bloodless medicine. Provides a fantastic history of transfusion and blood as medicine as well as an explanation of how the blood market became so lucrative. Source for the PBS series "Red Gold", by Douglas Star.
