I'm a qualified Cardiovascular Perfusionist, and as you all know, handling the patients blood is our first priority.
I started working at Cossni Medical, a company that supplies perfusion consumable products. One of my favourite products is the Hemobag from Global Blood Resources. Since I started using this product with the surgeons here, you can definitely see a difference in the patient outcome after cardiopulmonary bypass.
The patient does not need any extra donor platelets, FFP's or blood.
