Does anyone have or where can I find the annual numerical data for RBC donations/collections and transfusions (autologous, allogenic and waste)? Thank you.

Try looking at the American Association of Blood Banks website (www.aabb.org). They have the National Blood Collection and Utilization Survey for 2007 available for download. Might be just the information you're looking for.

Thanks Leslie,

Already looked at aabb utilization survey - they do not provide the raw historical data, just a chart in the back. I also searched the internet, looked at amer red cross website, still cannot locate any meaningful historical data. I'm at a loss to find this data.

blood data

Hey Ken,
I have looked several times in the past as well and besides the AABB info the only data I can get is from our regional blood bank and the quarterly reports in our Transfusion Committee meetings for our institution only. Look there.
