My mother has been in the hospital for 5 days and they have been testing and say that she has leukemia with 2-6 weeks left, because she will not take a blood transfusion. They also say that they can not look at the option of a bone marrow transplate without the transfusion. I've noticed that some hospitals have attempted the bone marrow transplants without transfusions and in a few cases have been able to cure the disease. What is the fastest way to find a hospital willing to look at that option with her specific circumstances? She is 61 years old and and they have taken a bone biopsy today and expect those results to identify the exact type in the next couple days.
