Alternative Treatments for Primary Thrombocythaemia - Mylerproliferative Sydnrome

Is anyone aware of any alternative treatments, clinics, or trials that use other methods than the normal prescription drugs such as Hydroxyurea, Anagrelide, etc.
My mom is an extremely health 66 year old with no symptoms. Tested positive for the Jak2 deformity and has high platelet count only - fluctuating between 500-660. Is there any organziation that specializes in the syndrome and that offers a wholistic and western combo to treatment..or is aspirin enough?
