Hi

Not found anything synthetic, someone said [one here] a HLC brother from the Czech republic told her that recombinant anti-d was available also in NZ, I haven;t confirmed these, found out what the product is called etc. I posted on here an extract from Martindale about anti-d, I should search the list of the names of available products to find out if any are recombinant.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi there

The post about the Czech republic was incorrect, they do not yet have a synthetic anti-d.

I know a JW who is travelling to New Zealand to work as a midwife and she has promised to find out as much as she can about what they do over there and let me know, so I will keep you posted!

Synthetic Anti-D (RhoGam)

In the United States, Ortho is the mfg of RhoGam. I attended an AWHONN conference last year in Los Angeles, CA, at which the reps from Ortho told me that they had once begun work on a synthetic Anti-D, but decided there was too much cost vs. market to proceed. So at this time, there is no U.S. drug company making a synthetic.
