Hysterectomies?

My wife and I were informed a week ago of a cancerous growth on one of her ovaries. On referral to a specialist who viewed the ultra sound pics, we were told that it was 100% urgency. For her (Abbie) to prepare for a complete hysterectomy, she will be meeting the surgeon tomorrow (Friday), with pre-op scheduled for Monday, and the operation on Tuesday, May 6th .

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of bloodless hysterectomies?
Is it common practice to administer blood transfusions with this procedure?
What are the alternatives and procedures?
What can she do now in preparation?

This is not a religious concern, but one of the 'best possible care' available. I am a Jehovah's Witness but my wife is not. She is concerned with blood issues. She also needs the support of council from a professional bloodless surgeon; I would appreciate if someone was available to speak with her. Thank you.

We live in Hay River, NWT, Canada, Abbie is schedule in the Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife, the capitol city. We have access as well to facilities in Edmonton Alberta, Canada,
