Urgent Help needed! Please read

Dear readers,
My father is in hospital. He is in a critical condition. He has been involved in a car accident. He has broken both ankles, both shin leg bones, one tiegh bone, right arm, breast plate and ribs. Yet, there is no spine or internal damage.
He is passing urine.
He is in a induced coma.
He was trapped in a car for 3 hours before they could cut him out, and then air lift him to hospital.; He was conscience the whole time, and told the doctors he doesnt accept blood transfusion due to his beliefs.
His homogebin level was 4 after a major surgery, yet, it is now 2.5. They wanted to operate on him to clean the wounds etc, but they decided it is too risky with such a low blood level.
He is given EPO 3 times a day, and has been given a blood bi-product albeam (sp??).
The albium was given to him on Friday, it is now Sunday morning.
The doctors are excellent, and treating him so well.

Yet, i am not too familiar with alternatives to blood transfusions. Is there anything i can mention to the doctors??

PLease please help.

Thankyou in advance.
