Please can anyone help
Hello, On tuesday 26th of jan my mum was admitted into hospital for pancreatitis it was during some blood tests that she found out that she had leukemia but at that time they were not positive because a biopsy had not been done yet, mum stayed in hospital for 5 days and did improve but still had a pain in the belly, on the following monday she had a bone marrow biopsy done and showed that it was acute myeliod leukemia the doctor refused to treat my mum when he found out she wouldnt take blood, she is a Jehovah's wittness, basically he told her to go to the hospital if she got a fever or felt poorly, mum decided to go home, 2 days later she was back at the hospital with an ear infection and a fever and was put on antibiotics, the lovely doctor at that hospital got my mum into the best hospital for treatment in victoria if not australia, she went in there today, the doctor who agreed to treat her saw her pretty much straight away and gave her options on her treatment he knows that she wont have blood and it wont be an issue for either him or mum, he not only explained mums illness but what treatment he could do and this is what i need help with if anyone can give me more info or just explain to me why.......... we were told that if my mum were to take a full dose of chemo treatment she would have a 50% chance of survival which is something that we all were prepared for but her surviving the chemo was much less because of hemeraging ,, the other 2 options were also not the greatest of outcomes either, i think what im asking is, is there something that can help improve the odds of surviving the chemo ? mums ears and troat are better, i dont know her cell counts except the red cells are high and both the white and platelet are very low, she was born with a slight heart murmer she had her gallbladder out in 1992 she doesnt smoke or drink . any help will be greatly welcomed and thanked
