Wiki Professionals Directory Layout Example

The following link takes you to an example of how we will be able to layout everyone listed as a professional at NoBlood.org.

http://www.noblood.org/wiki/index.ph...icia_A_Ford_MD

Please forgive me Dr Ford for using you for this example.

Obviously, having a photo helps but is not required.

For the sake of continuing to educate regarding how a wiki will/can work for us, keep in mind that I am just learning myself, I will share some observations and general approach along the way.

We are in the process of creating a separate and distinct page/article for each professional, ie, Physicians, Coordinators, etc. This page will be named the same as the professional. IMPORTANT: This page is DIFFERENT than your USER PAGE, which you have complete control to enter what ever you want there. The wiki professional page is intended for use in our various directories, etc. These pages will be maintained in a uniform fashioin. However, you can do whatever you want with your personal page.

What does this mean? This means that Dr Ford has an article by her name which anyone can participate in improving and adjusting in terms of accuracy of content, etc. Dr Ford will also have her own USER page (when she registers on the wiki) that can contain whatever personal information she wants to share.

If you notice Dr Ford page, it has links to her NoBlood.org UserProfile, and a link for others to email her WITHOUT EXPOSING her email address. It is important to make sure that you are allowing others to email which is set in your user preferences.

We will be doing this for all pros. However, you are welcome to experiment yourself. We can help as needed.
