Our community investigates, reports, and discusses the latest techniques in transfusion alternatives and appropriate blood management.
To address the medical desirability of reducing or eliminating the use of blood and blood products and provide information for individuals who have religious or other objections to blood transfusion.
Our community seeks to achieve this in the following four ways:

- Collaborating among health care organizations, dedicated professionals and the general public to advance bloodless medicine and blood management strategies.
- Assisting individuals to prepare for medical emergencies.
