This is not my company .. and I do not work for it. I just follow its trials on different blood substitutes. I think if you read the article carefully it is designed for cases of trauma and situations where lack of oxygen can cause immediate and severe damage.For example this trial deals with Traumatic Brain Injury due to issues of war. This is a front line product for trauma patients that need immediate oxygenation of the blood.
What is Oxycyte?
Oxycyte is an oxygen-carrying intravenous emulsion that can carry five times more oxygen than hemoglobin, making it an effective means of transporting oxygen to tissues and carbon dioxide to the lungs for disposal. New applications of oxygen therapeutic agents include stroke, myocardial infarction, and certain malignant diseases.
