Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon needed in Northwest
We just received a call regarding a spanish speaking mother who is carrying an infant with congenital heart defect that will need to be repaired in August. The patient is one of Jehovah's Witnesses and refuses blood. She is on DSHS and has no resources to travel for the infant's surgery. We have contacted the University of Washington and their Cardio-thoracic surgeons are not willing to take another look at the case because of the mother's stand on blood. Anyone know of a physician in the pacific northwest that might be willing to consider the case? Any suggestions appreciated. -
