For those in the proximity of the NY Ct metropoltan area North Shore LIJ is sponsoring a conference on Strategies to Reduce Maternal Mortality to be held at the Long Island Marriot Hotel & Conference Center in Uniondale on Wed June 8, 2005. It would be interesting to hear what strategies they're using. I'm sure this is to response to the DOH's reccommendations for health care facilities to devise a protocol to decrease maternal morbidities and mortalities that have markededly increased inthe last year.
