We have a case tonight of a two week old infant with an aortic problem. The surgeon is prepared to try to remove the section of the aorta concerned and rejoin to the heart the unaffected aorta and wants to be able to use Novoseven to promote coagulation.

My question is 'Is NovoSeven made using non-blood products?' Also is there anything else we could suggest to the surgeons that would help reduce the risks of the operation without using blood based products?
