Debbie,
Just another thought on liver resections. we have had some experience with a new device called TissueLink. It is a disposable tool that hooks right on to the regular bovie motor. It uses radio frequency along with a conductive fluid like saline to cool the tissue. we have had great success with it for our hepatic surgeries. It is quite impressive in both our hepatic surgeries. If you need a liver surgeon who has quite a bit of experience with bloodless liver resections, Call me at 206-568-7000.

We've a similar device by the same company on our orthopedic surgeries, Hip and Knee replacements and revisions. Impressive minimization of blood loss. 7 of our orthopods now use it on all their Joints. The liver tool is a bit different, but still uses the same principal.
