I believe I have contracted a disease from blood transfusions (Not yet verified).
I have heart disease (Left main artery, CABG and Stents) and bleeding somewhere in the digestion (never found where --can drop 8 points in a week).
The bleeding causes severe anemia which causes more heart problems so doctors prescribe blood transfusions quickly for me. I've had 15 units this year. Plus weekly iron infusions and procrit shots to prevent having more blood transfusions.
I am now in terrible pain. Every bone in my body aches. I'm on pain killers daily that don't help much. I read a few cases online where people had similar pains after blood transfusions resulting in Hepatitis or Lyme disease.
Waiting for doctors to start testing for answers. Glad to find this site. Wish I would have found it few years ago.
My primary care doctor is VERY SLOW to act. Waiting over a week for him to view old blood tests.
Any advice?
