Directly, no. Indirectly, yes. My son-in-law's HG was as low as a little over 1.0. With increased EPO, he left the hospital at 10.4, three days later. Single car accident and almost lost his leg. I have to admit, the doctors did give him excellent care, though initially attempted to persuade my daughter to change her mind about giving him blood. To her credit, she stuck through it. I was there to support her decision and she was WONDERFUL! Coping is not her strongest suite but with Jehovah's help, she did right!
