I am trying to help my hospital investigate the viability of starting a Blood Management Program. The Dr. who is over this project asked me to find some statistics on how much blood an average hospital uses per admission (or however it is tracked) and how much blood a hospital with a blood management program uses. He wants to use these statistics as benchmarks to see how we compare. I am having trouble finding either set of numbers. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
