my friend, who is one of Jehovahs Witnesses had a bi lateral mastectomy and reconstruction and has recovered well without any complications, despite not having a blood transfusion. However, her sister, who is not a Witness, had the same operation, had a blood transfusion. She also had a post operative complication of a collapsed lung. could this have been due to TRALI
